Visual Composition
Now In-person at The Atelier
[Edit 01/15/2022: this can also be a hybrid class. Students may attend class via Zoom]
In this class you’ll get hands on experience with visual composition tools. We will explore various elements of composition, visual hierarchy, mood, value design, color, and more through lectures, discussion, and sketching. We’ll also analyze pictures to see what tools the artists used, and break compositions to see what happens when pictorial elements are altered. And what’s the big deal with tangents?
